With the rapid development of science and technology,education is also constantly reforming,at the same time,the requirements for students' comprehensive quality and various aspects of their ability are also increasing.The 2017 edition of the "New High School Physics Curriculum Standards" clearly puts forward the core literacy of the physics discipline,and puts forward clear requirements for the scientific reasoning of the scientific thinking part.As a core competence in physical ability,scientific reasoning plays a vital role in the study of students' physics.This article takes a four-star high school in Suzhou as the research object,and develops a test volume based on the five levels of scientific reasoning proposed by the new curriculum standard.The two classes of the school are tested and the difference between the test data is analyzed.Correlation analysis,also analyze their physics examinations and the answers of reasoning problems in their physics homework,and finally draw conclusions.The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between students'physical reasoning ability and physics academic performance,and there is a significant positive correlation with the scores of the senior high school entrance examination;there is no significant difference in physical reasoning ability between genders,there are significant differences between the classes in the sample,and participation in extracurricular tutoring There is no obvious help to improve the students' physical reasoning ability;the sample students have lower level of physical reasoning ability,and they should develop students' scientific reasoning ability,so that the students' physical reasoning ability can be better developed in the inquiry classroom teaching mode.This study has certain theoretical significance and practical value for understanding the development trend of high school students in China and improving the teaching methods.
