As one of the five abilities of physics,reasoning ability plays a decisive role in the development of students' abilities in physics.It involves not only physics but also in mathematics or even any subject.Therefore,study how to improve the students'reasoning ability has a realistic significance.This study first use the adapted LCTSR(Lawson's Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning)to judge the reasoning ability of high school students',find that the overall situation of students' reasoning abilities is not optimistic,especially the important control-variable reasoning and hypothesis-deductive reasoning.In order to solve the problem of students' reasoning ability,the author pays attention to the "self-explanation training",this novel teaching mode can be effective for students' to improve their reasoning abilities.Then I combined with exemplar learning mode and Xuzhou new curriculum reform "learning speaking mode" to enrich the self-explanation training method,and use the oral report method to show the students' thinking process,in order to improve the students' reasoning ability to the greatest extent.Through the investigation of the students' reasoning ability,the author rethinks in the teaching practice,and obtains the following conclusions:(1)The students have problems in conservation reasoning,control variable reasoning and hypothesis deductive reasoning,and lack of consistency in reasoning(2)Students' academic achievements are positively correlated with their reasoning abilities,which are unrelated to their gender(3)The combination of "learning speaking mode" and "self-explanation training"can improve students' reasoning ability more efficientlyThe author summarizes the following four principles of self-explanation training through his own teaching experience:(1)Focus on the construction and improvement of cognitive schema(2)Consider the diversity of course types(3)To "improvise" in the course of teaching(4)Pay attention to the combination of "part" and "whole"...
