The Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony is a celebration for children aged 5-6 in kindergarten,who will graduate from kindergarten before July,to celebrate their upcoming graduation from kindergarten to primary school.The study on the graduation ceremony of kindergarten aims to understand the characteristics and laws of kindergarten graduation ceremony,analyze the effectiveness and problems,and put forward some educational suggestions to improve kindergarten graduation ceremony.In this research,the researcher used a combination of questionnaires,interviews,observations,and physical analysis to have an in-depth exploration of the value orientation,planning work,implementation process,and effect evaluation of the kindergarten graduation ceremony,so as to reveal the entire process of kindergarten graduation ceremony as far as possible.Through the on-site observation of 9 kindergarten graduation ceremonies in S City,and the questionnaire surveys for kindergarten teachers and parents of the top class of kindergarten,researcher had a basic understanding of the current status of the graduation ceremony of the kindergartens in S City.Afterwards,an interview with kindergarten principals,teachers,parents,and children of the top class of kindergarten,and the collection and reading of relevant physical data,all of these work helped researcher have a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the current state of the graduation ceremony of the kindergartens in S City.The results of this research showed that the graduation ceremonies of the kindergarten in S City has certain merits.Parents,teachers and parents have high recognition of the value of the kindergarten graduation ceremony;kindergartens are good at using parent resources and community resources;the content and forms of kindergarten graduation ceremonies are rich;the four major participants evaluated the kindergarten graduation ceremony.But meanwhile,there are some deficiencies.There exists formalism of the ceremony;kindergartens ignore the dominant position of children in the graduation ceremony;depart from the needs of children in the graduation ceremony;fail to consider the needs of parents fully.Based on the analysis of the study results above,researcher proposed some educational suggestions for the implementation of the kindergarten graduation ceremony.Kindergartens should understand the educational value of the graduation ceremony clearly,avoid formalism of graduation ceremony,build the correct concept of culture and education,and pay attention to parents’ ideas and needs.Researcher supposes that these suggestions will ensure the regularity of the kindergarten graduation ceremony.
