The goal and direction of basic education reform in our country were to train cultivate all-round development of talents.The Opinion of Deepening Reform of the Series Courses and Strengthen Moral Education was sued by the Ministry of Education in 2014.The Opinion clearly states that the core literacy of students in each academic year should be developed,which means the Party and the State was paid high attention to the development of students' core literacy.As an important part of the core literacy,biology literacy must be appreciated in school education.The study was based on the city of the Huolinguole No.6 Middle School,studying the biological teaching through analysis of characteristic teaching,questionnaire surveys of teachers on the front and interviewing of the students.The result of the study about improving the students' scientific literacy and problems exiting are as following:The special teaching was accepted by junior biology teachers in Huolinguole middle school;It was necessary to apply special teaching into practice,as it indeed improved the students' scientific literacy,The teachers had their preference on using characteristic teaching.Methods like“observation and thinking” and “data analysis” were often chosen.For the purpose on improving students' scientific literacy,the difficulties appeared in applying characteristic teaching were: The limitation of resources and teaching time available,The individual differences of students' development,The inadequacy of school hardware facilities.Besides,the pressure of examoriented entrance examination and old teaching concept of teachers were also the obstacles on the way of applying characteristic teaching.Based on the analysis above,the author use the methods of stitutional teaching,group cooperative teaching and experimental teaching.Thescientific literacy is infiltrated in special teaching,and it shows that the result of experimental class was markedly better than that of control class.It has great effect on improving biology scientific literacy.Therefore,some advice are given as following: the teachers should pay more attention to the new class changes idea,improve the degree of recognition to characteristic teaching,advocate inquiry learning and arouse the students' interest in independent learning.
