The continuous reform of Curriculum Standard puts forward higher requirements for junior high biology teaching.The curriculum standard of biology in compulsory education advocate inquiry-based learning.It is aimed at reforming the learning methods of students,leading students to actively participate in classes,making them take delight in exploration and practice,so as to gradually cultivate their ability to collect and deal with scientific information,develop their ability to acquire new knowledge,to analyze and solve problems,as well as the ability to communicate and cooperate,making the cultivation of creative spirit and practical ability prominent.The application of mind map is a new teaching model using color and shape.And it can be a link among those complicated knowledge so that students can handle knowledge,improve their interest on biology,and then improve their learning achievement.This study uses literature research method,questionnaire method,experimental and empirical method and case analysis and other methods,applying mind map to many aspects of the teaching and learning in the first book of Grade Seven.Its purpose is to explore the relationship among the teaching application of mind map,the interest of biology,the construction of biology knowledge system,grades and creative thinking.It is hoped that this will be a positive exploration for new students in junior high schools in biology teaching,and it will do a potential research on the concept of Curriculum Standard on junior high school biology.The research shows the following:The application of mind map not only improve the interest of students to learn biology and construct the knowledge system,but also improve the biology grades and the creative thinking.
