The 18thNational Congress of the CPC included the construction of ecological civilization into the overall layout of the"Five In One"in China's socialist modernization.Through promoting the construction of ecological civilization vigorously,it has achieved remarkable achievements.In the construction of socialist ecological civilization,college students play a major role as the builders of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics in such new era.Moreover,their ecological literacy will directly influence and even determine the level and success of ecological civilization construction.Enhancing college students'ecological quality is of vital significance for improving ecological and cultural quality of all Chinese people.Based on the theory of Marxism,ecology,pedagogy,statistics and other disciplines,and on the basis of the knowledge-oriented economy and the contemporarily-existing achievements of the theory of ecological literacy both at home and abroad,this paper takes a combination of questionnaire,theoretical research and empirical research.From the definition of ecological connotation of undergraduates,the paper reveals the theoretical basis of undergraduates'ecological literacy promotion path.Through the investigations and analyses of the status quo of domestic college students'ecological literacy status and analyzing their causes,so as to explore specific paths to improve the college students'ecological literacy.This study is divided into four parts.The first part:introduction.Explain the reasons,the purpose,the significance,the methods,the difficult points,the innovation points,and the research status.The second part:the theory of college students'ecological literacy.First and foremost,it defines the basic concepts of literacy and ecological literacy,coped with some features of ecological literacy,then lists the ecological theories in Marxist theory,the ecological thoughts in China's traditional culture,and the hypothesis law of"ecological people"in the Western world.The third part:the empirical research of college students'ecological literacy.The survey is conducted in the form of questionnaire,followed with a descriptive analysis.Then some correlation tests of the questionnaire are conducted by using the methods of statistics to find out the existing problems of college students'ecological literacy and to further analyze the causes.The fourth part:Exploring the path of improving college students'ecological literacy.On the basis of the empirical research in the previous parts,the paper tries to explore the practical path of improving college students'ecological literacy under the guidance of scientific principle,subjective principle,differentiate principles,permeability principle and practical principle.
