| PCK is pedagogical content knowledge,which is the core knowledge that teachers have in carrying out teaching activities.This study combined with the existing research of the researchers of PCK and pedagogical content knowledge can be divided into 4 parts which are teaching strategies,students knowledge,curriculum knowledge and evaluation knowledge.In this study,we used document analysis method,classroom observation method,interview method and teaching files analysis method to analyze the situation of bilingual teachers’ PCK.This research selected two novice bilingual teachers teaching biology and one experienced bilingual teacher teaching chemistry as study members through a case study of PCK in an international division of one high school of Guangzhou.The research shows that:(1)In terms of teaching strategy,the novice bilingual teachers and experienced bilingual teachers show respective emphasis on the use of the teaching strategy.Novice bilingual teachers prefer to use interesting teaching strategies,and experienced bilingual teachers prefer to teach strategies which are effective in teaching content.(2)In terms of students knowledge,the three bilingual teachers get students knowledge source and the attention to students’ knowledge level of each are not identical.Bilingual novice teachers can master students knowledge that is relatively limited,and experienced bilingual teachers understand students knowledge comprehensively and deeply.(3)In terms of curriculum knowledge,experienced bilingual teachers master the more rich international curriculum resources,and curriculum design are more scientific and reasonable.The purpose of the novice bilingual teachers in curriculum planning are not clear,and the curriculum concept is not complete.(4)In terms of evaluation knowledge,all bilingual teachers can give students timely evaluation.Novice bilingual teachers give students general and single evaluation.Experienced bilingual teachers give students accurate and diverse evaluation that can effectively promote students’ learning.This research put forward feasibility proposals on how to promote PCK in pre-service education and how to develop PCK at the beginning of teachers’ careers.Cultivate outstanding graduates of bilingual teachers.Improve induction training and on-the-job training,in order to enrich and develop the bilingual teachers’ PCK.To help bilingual novice teachers grow rapidly into experienced teachers,and promote international education development of bilingual teachers.Provide theoretical basis for future research work. |
