Research For Rehabilitation Of Patients With Severe Mental Illness Through Group Work

In recent years,due to social transformation,polarization of the rich and poor,employment pressure,competition intensified,psychological imbalance and other practical problems,resulting in the people's mental stress,mental illness,the number of patients increased dramatically.In the world,mental health has become a prominent social problem in human society.However,the domestic mental rehabilitation service is still in the initial development level,with the service of the psychiatric Specialist hospital as the main.In order to promote the development of mental rehabilitation services,many psychiatric hospitals in our country have established social Work Department.The hospital organizes psychiatrists,nurses,therapists and medical social workers to set up a mental rehabilitation team,aiming at improving the comprehensive service level of the hospital and creating a good environment and atmosphere for the patients to recover.Using field research methods,we entered the psychiatric hospital in F City,interviewed doctors,nurses,medical social workers and patients in depth,and contacted patients by participatory observation.Understand the patient's situation in the hospital,this paper studies the manifestations and causes of the plight of patients from three levels of physical and mental society,including the problems of forgetting illness,suffering from drug suffering and decreasing self-care ability,and the psychological problems of serious negative emotions,loss of self-confidence and reluctance to communicate with others,which involve the social problems of labelling,discrimination and employment difficulties.Based on the theory of dominant angle of view and social interaction theory,the group work of social work is applied to the patients with severe mental illness as the research object.For the patients with mental disorders have "advantages have not been discovered" and "interpersonal difficulties" in common,combined with the theory of social interaction and advantage perspective,to explore the patient's own preferences and resource advantages,play the role of interaction between people,in the context of equality,acceptance,tolerance,respect and cooperation with the service object,combined with the service object life experience,understand their wishes,explore their potential,help patients improve self-confidence,enhance social skills,master etiquette knowledge,enhance employability.Find the meaning and value of life in the process and result of striving to achieve the goal.The work of the group was effective and recognized by medical personnel,and all members of the team were discharged during the month.This study provides a successful practical case for the rehabilitation of patients with severe mental illness by working with group work,and it is a bold attempt for the rehabilitation of patients with severe mental illness in social work,which can be used for reference by other researchers.At the same time,this research provides practical reference for the development of mental rehabilitation social work and provides practical significance for promoting the relevant theory and practice frame of social works.
