With the popularity of mobile phone and the wide use of the chat software Wechat,interpersonal relationship is increasingly dependent on it.A complex interacting network has come into being by the transfer from offline to online interpersonal relationship on Wechat with huge flow of information which produce significant business value.Besides,attention on education has long time been paid in China.As the burdens on students have been alleviated at school,education training institutes get warm welcome from Chinese parents.POP,relying on the powerful parent company New Oriental,has won numerous parents' trusts.In POP children are learners,while parents are the customers who need to be communicated.Thus We Chat has become the ideal tool for POP to understand,manage,communicate,and even persuade parents.As for POP's employees,a three-layer network that mainly distributes in in three channels(private chat,group chats and Moments)is formed,since their targets to communicate with not only involve parents,but colleagues and leaders as well.In this article,we obtain original data via in-depth interviews and participatory observation and code the data in three levels according to grounded theory.We get two core codes: delegating power and getting back power.Theoretical sampling is interspersed to confirm the rationality of the core code.By analyzing the three-layer interaction network and three channels of communication,we demonstrate two characteristics of interpersonal relationship in We Chat.One is to actively construct interpersonal relationship by allotting the time of reply of private chat and the frequency of interaction in group chat,and characterizing the Moments in tags.The other is to response mechanically by delegating their power in communication with leaders,colleagues and parents in order to safeguard social courtesy and security in We Chat relationship.
