| Since the beginning of the 21 st century, scientific and technological innovation has become a strategic weapon for comprehensive national strength competition among various countries. The interdisciplinary team has become one of the most effective forms of organization for solving complex problems and generating innovation performance in the world. All countries in the world are actively working on the establishment of interdisciplinary teams. However, domestic interdisciplinary research is not only subject to the lack of external systems, but also subject to internal communication barriers. For such situational issues, the academic community has not received sufficient answers.People urgently need to understand the new mechanisms that are constantly changing, and thus provide suggestions for improving innovation performance and how team managers can use them more effectively. This study starts from the perspective of team regulatory focus and use interdisciplinary teams as research objects to explore the impact of interdisciplinary team knowledge transfer contexts on innovation performance. It reviews the related researches of knowledge transfer theory, interdisciplinary team innovation performance, and regulatory focus theory, and identifies four factors in the knowledge transfer situation of interdisciplinary teams, including trust relationships, innovation atmosphere, team learning culture, and institutional support.Following the research of current scholars and based on the understanding of the theory, this paper establishes the theoretical model and proposes corresponding hypotheses. In order to verify the hypotheses,we conduct a formal questionnaire survey of 64 interdisciplinary teams in China using a questionnaire with high reliability and validity after small sample checks.A total of 296 questionnaires are distributed,201 are recovered, and the recovery efficiency is 69.9%.SPSS 23.0 software is used for hierarchical regression analysis to study the impact of each factor of knowledge transfer situation on innovation performance under the focus of context adjustment. The empirical results verify that the team regulatory focus has mediating effect between interdisciplinary team knowledge transfer contexts and innovation performance. The main research results of this study show that:(1)Interdisciplinary team knowledge transfer contexts have a significant positive impact on team innovation performance.Specifically, the interdisciplinary team’s trust relationship, innovation atmosphere, learning culture, institutional support are all positively related to innovation performance;(2)The team regulatory focus has a positive effect on innovation performance. That is,both the accelerating adjustment focus and the defensive adjustment focus have a significant positive correlation with innovation performance;(3)Promotion focus and prevention focus play an intermediary role in the relationship between some factors and innovation performance in the context of knowledge transfer.Specifically, the focus of the promotion focus has played a partial intermediary role in the innovation atmosphere and the influence of institutional support on innovation performance. The prevention focus has played a partial intermediary role in the influence of learning-based culture and institutional support on innovation performance. This paper makes up for the lack of team-level related research at home and abroad, clarifies the mutual influence of knowledge transfer contexts, team regulatory focus, and innovation performance. From the perspective of adjusting focus, this paper proposes the knowledge transfer context factors in the interdisciplinary team to innovation performance.Impact mechanism provides a theoretical basis for team management practice and has certain guiding significance. |
