Suicide takes people's lives,which is an obvious social problem.What's more,suicide among middle school students is a kind of self-destructive action,and it attracts attention because it happens on juveniles.In recent years,the high incidence of suicide among middle school students in China has had a huge impact on families,schools and society.Especially under the increasing trend of the aging population in China,the harmful effects of the suicide of middle school students are more and more obvious.In the Internet age,with the accelerating development of the information communication,the suicide of middle school students happens one after another on the network.The network media reports deeply affect audience's awareness of the suicide problem of middle school students.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the related reports on network media.This paper views Sina as the research object,and adopts the content analysis to analyze the suicide reports of middle school students on Sina from June 2007 to June 2017.Meanwhile,according to the media suicide report guideline of WHO,the paper analyzes features of related reports in report form,report text and so on.Then,the author finds that Sina has many problems in the suicide reports of middle school students: the genre is single;the channel distributes unprofessional;the report information sources are not authoritative;the topic is concentrated;the media construction is unbalanced;the reports violate journalism ethics.Finally,the author puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies to solving the existing problems: the network media need to enhance the professionalism of journalists,to strengthen specialized editing,to provide standardized reports,such as enriching genre,expanding topic,weakening suicide details,improving the media image ethics and so on.This paper looks forward to providing useful references for the network media journalists.
