Rational-emotive Therapy Involved In Treatment Of Children With Leukemia' Self-acceptance

Leukemia is a malignant disease of hematopoietic system.the body's normal functional structure is destroyed when malignancy formation happens in a certain stage of the growth and differentiation of white blood cell,leading to organ failure and death of patients.Due to the long-term hospitalization far from former habitats during the course of therapy,Children's pathological appearance changes a lot along with the increasing of physical and mental burden as time goes on.This study in wuhan X hospital takes a leukemia children as the research object,using casework as well as rational emotional therapy to improve his Self-acceptance.By helping the client to find irrational beliefs,the resonables belief system is reconstructed and the rational belief is rebuild.so this changes the client's unreasonable way of thinking and helps the client to get a better understanding of Self-acceptance.Through a review of service process and service effect,there comes two key points.Firstly,the service object can changes his irrational beliefs and establish another reasonable belief.Secondly,the service object get a better self-acceptance after phychological intervention.Through the application of rational emotional therapy in the casework helping children with leukemia,the author draw the following conclusions:Rational emotional therapy can be effectively applied in children with leukemia,and effectively solve leukemia children's problems;case work plays a critical role to solve problems of children with leukemia in the process of phychological intervention during the application of rational emotional therapy.
