| The current China is in an era of rapid increase of population flow, continuous expansion of flow scale and gradual extension of flow time, which makes the study of the floating population remarkably meaningful.Among them, the employment status and quality are the important factors that determine the rational flow and effective allocation of this group,as well as the key to determine whether they can stand in the inflow area, and also related to the survival and development status of floating population and the social harmony and stability. Therefore,it deserves our in-depth study. This paper, based on the dynamic monitoring data of the floating population in 2016,under the guidance of new economic migration theory, social integration theory and labor market segmentation theory, and regarding the whole floating population as the object of study. Also, this paper uses OLS regression and Probit regression model respectively, and form the perspective of family migration and residence willingness to analyse the employment quality’s affecting factors.Through the regression analysis model,it is found that family migration and residence willingness of floating population’s have a significant impact on employment quality, family migration will reduce their employment quality, while long-term residence willingness can promote it.At the same time, the gender, age, educational degree, marital status, household registration, flow area, flow time and other individual or flow characteristics will also have an impact on their employment quality. In addition,we divide floating population into old generation and new generation to test the impact of family migration and residence willingness to verify the robustness of the findings. It shows that intergenerational effects on employment quality are significant and all the regression results are robust. At last, this paper discusses the shortcomings in research and puts forward several policy recommendations form the perspective of government, market, family and individual,to improve the employment quality of floating population. |
