Divorce figures released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs show that the marriage rate in China has been declining since 2013,while the divorce rate has been rising.With the development of the times,the phenomenon of high divorce rate and unmarried children has emerged,and the number of single-parent children has gradually increased.Compared with parental family,if children in single-parent families are not properly guided,they are more likely to have emotional and behavioral problems,which are manifested in poor self-confidence,weak interpersonal skills,and closed self-locking.Self-confidence is an important influencing factor of children's interpersonal communication and emotional problems.Its formation and development directly affect the development and maturity of children's personality.How to improve the self-confidence of children in single-parent families is an increasingly concerned issue.This study is an attempt to combine drama therapy elements with group social work.Taking the rehearsal process of the wizard of oz script as the carrier,and combining the elements of drama therapy,the study conducted developmental group intervention for 8 children of single-parent families in N street town,Shanghai.In this study,8 group members were tested before and after their self-confidence,as well as qualitative observation and interview by using the Rosenberg confidence scale through group intervention.The study found that using the wizard of oz script as a carrier,combining elements of drama therapy with group social work,can improve the confidence of children in single-parent families.Finally,the paper summarizes the model of drama therapy elements combined with group social work,extracts the key points of improving children's self-confidence in drama therapy,and provides reference for subsequent social workers to use the elements and skills in drama therapy.
