High school is the key stage of the student development.The adaptation of general highschool students is related to whether students can get healthy development either physically or mentally.It also affects their social adaptation after adulthood,which is related to the long-term development of students.Therefore,it is of great value to study the school adaptation of high school students.Based on the theory of school adjustment and the actual situation of general high schools,this study presupposes the following questions: What is the overall situation of general high school students in school adjustment? What are the reasons for poor performance in some dimensions? Whether there are significant differences in the dimensions of gender,household registration,boarding and only child,and if there are significant differences,what is the reason? What measures should we take to improve the school adjustment of general high school students in Shanxi Province?In view of these problems,the author carried out a thorough study.This study combines questionnaires and interviews.The subjects of the survey were sophomore students in the 2017-2018 academic year in Shanxi Province.The researchers sampled 486 high schools in the province according to their size,and extracted 48 schools covering 5449 cities across the province.The research object of the interview is the typical case of poor adaptation in some schools and middle school students.The study found that the overall situation in our province to adapt to the school highIV school students is better,but the difference between the six dimensions of the large,accordingto the scores in descending order are: peer relationship,school identity,class identity,academic adaptation,teacher-student relationship and test adaptation.Among the six dimensions,the better performance is peer relationship,school identity and class identity.The poor performance is teacher-student relationship and class adaptation,and the worst performance is test adaptation.The score is lower than the medial score.There are significant differences in the level of school adaptation in gender,household registration,boarding,and only children.The specific performance is that the five dimensions of schoolwork adaptation,teacher-student relationship,peer relationship,school identity and class identity are significantly better than boys.Male students are significantly better than girls in examination adaptation.The adaptation level of non-agricultural household registration students in class adaptation,teacher-student relationship,peer relationship,school identity and class identity were significantly better than those of agricultural registered students;the four dimensions of non boarding students were significantly better than boarding students,except for examination adaptation and peer relationship;the only child students were adapted to exam adaptation.The adaptation level on the five dimensions is significantly better than that of non only child students.This paper analyzes the reasons for the results of the above research,and puts forward some pertinent suggestions in view of the outstanding problems found in the research,in order to provide some help to solve these problems.At the level of the government,more reasonable admission and stratified shift system should be carried out in order to reduce the poor adaptability of the course.At the same time,the education experiment of male and female schools should be liberalized and the adaptation of boys and girls should be improved.At the school level,a variety of measures are adopted to alleviate students' examination anxiety and improve the students' Adaptability in examination;at the same time,the schoollife of boarding students is enriched and the adaptability of boarding students is improved.At the teacher level,teachers should be good at changing roles and improving teacher-student relationship.At the student level,we should strengthen self education and establish a harmonious peer relationship.
