Reading is one of the most important means of learning knowledge freely.In this information-based digital age,mathematics has affected all aspects of our lives,and mathematics reading is particularly important.The period of junior high school is the critical time to cultivate students' mathematics reading ability.This paper mainly investigates the current status of mathematics reading for junior high school students in townships and villages by means of questionnaires.The design of the questionnaire was carried out in the following four dimensions: the school's awareness of the school's awareness of mathematics reading;the family's awareness of parents' understanding of mathematics reading;the teacher's view of teachers' awareness of mathematics reading and the guidance of mathematics reading;Reading awareness,interests,motivation,attitudes,methods,abilities,factors that affect extracurricular reading.A total of980 questionnaires were distributed and 946 valid questionnaires were retrieved.By using SPSS17.0 to analyze the collected data,the writer drew the following conclusions :First,the school does not attach great importance to the cultivation of students' mathematical reading ability.Second,parents are short of the awareness to cultivate their children's mathematics reading.Only 40.5 percent of parents have bought math materials for students,of which 52.6percent were related to examination,30.8 percent were reference books and only 16.7 percent were real mathematics extracurricular reading.Third,teachers' awareness of guiding students' reading ability is weak.Only 20.1percent of the teachers will give the students more time to read the textbook.Only 10.8percent of teachers often guide students in the process of reading.Fourth,students take little interest in math reading,and lack scientific and effective reading methods,resulting in poor reading ability of mathematics.On the basis of the research conclusion above,the writer interviewed some of the students and teachers to understand the problems in the process of mathematics reading,and put forward the strategies from family,school,teacher,student respectively:For school: Carry out math extracurricular activities to stimulate reading interest;Improve the evaluation systems and encourage students to read.For family: Return to the family and spend more time with the children;Change the concept and set up the correct views of reading;Set a good example and create a reading atmosphere;Strengthen communication with teachers and obtain better guidance methods;Feed back in time and encourage children to read.For teachers: Create situations and stimulate interest in reading;Make a reading outline and make reading purposes clear;Teach reading methods and develop reading habits.Select reading materials and improve reading efficiency;Provide communication platform and share reading achievements.For students: Understand mathematics reading correctly;Cultivate interest in mathematics reading;Grasp the mathematical reading method;Develop mathematical reading habits;Write mathematical reading experience;...
