The Impact Of Serious Leisure On Job Transformation-A Case Study Of Yoga Practitioners

The number of people with serious leisure who switch careers to related fields is increasing.This paper takes yoga practitioners as an example and takes the transition of deep yoga practitioners to professional yoga teachers as the research content,to explore the benefits and constraints of yoga serious leisure,and the reasons,power factors and resistance factors of conversion to yoga teachers.This paper mainly adopts the method of in-depth interview to interview 16 yoga practitioners who have experienced professional conversion.At the same time,in order to ensure the validity of the interview,the subjects of the interview were controlled conditionally.The benefits of yoga serious leisure mainly include physical improvement,mental health,self-development and harmony with interpersonal relationships.The restrictions of yoga serious leisure are also diversified.there are both personal and interpersonal restrictions at the micro level and structural restrictions at the macro level.The biggest restriction is the restriction at the personal level.for example,inertia in one's heart is the biggest obstacle to yoga serious leisure.The proportion of professional conversion from serious leisure yoga practitioners to yoga teachers is relatively high.This shows that the in-depth exercisers have higher identification with the profession.There are also many difficulties in the transition,the biggest of which comes from economic income.This factor is also a resistance factor to the career transition.In the process of career transformation,yoga deep recreational people have gained support from various aspects,of which material and spiritual support from their families is the greatest factor to help them.The benefits and rewards of yoga teachers' profession are also characterized by diversification.the main gains are personal self-realization and the opportunity to share and pass on yoga,which makes yoga teachers feel good.At the end of the paper,it is discussed whether the identity of yoga teachers is work,occupation or career,whether they are engaged in work or leisure,and the underlying reason behind the career Transition may be that the change-over person seeks leisure identity.
