Ancient poetry is the written language of ancient China.It is the quintessence of the Chinese nation with a long history and cultural connotation.The teaching of ancient poetry is helpful for the students not only to understand the development of Chinese traditional culture,but also put forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation.With the enhancement of junior high school students' learning ability and their comprehension of ancient poetry,they will have a strong interest in ancient poetry if teachers give proper guidance to them.It will be of great help for the students to learn Chinese in the future.It is the key period of the formation of basic literacy for junior high school students,and the study of ancient poetry plays a vital role in students' knowledge extension,intelligent exploitation and the improvement of cultural literacy,so we should pay more attention to the junior high school students' learning of ancient poetry.Wulanhot,which means "the red city",locates in the northeast of Inner Mongolia.The No.8 Middle School is the earliest full-time junior middle school built in Wulanhot.It has capable teachers and rich teaching resources.Some of the Chinese teachers have played a leading role in the Chinese education front.Furthermore,the ancient poetry teaching has also made some achievements.However,there are still some deficiencies in the teaching content,teaching methods and teaching comments of ancient poetry.The improper learning methods and appreciation ability of ancient poems also affect the improvement of the whole teaching level of ancient poems.These are urgent problems for the 'Chinese educators to study and solve.Taking No.8 Middle School as the research object,this essay finds out the problems in teaching and tries to put forward the strategies according to the requirements of the new curriculum standard forthe teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school on the basis of in-depth investigation of the present situation of the teaching of ancient poetry.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is introduction,including the raising of the question,the purpose and significance of the research,the status quo of the research,the scope and methods of the research and some related definitions and concepts.The second chapter mainly introduces the requirements and suggestions of the Chinese Curriculum Standard(compulsory Education 2011 Edition)to the teaching of the ancient poetry in junior high school,which is the guiding ideology of the implement of the teaching research of ancient poetry.In the third chapter,the author analyzes the questionnaire and interview results and discusses the teaching situation of the teachers,the learning situation of the students,the achievements of the teaching of ancient poetry and the problems that exist in the teaching of ancient poetry according to the charts.The fourth chapter analyzes and summarizes the concrete problems in the teaching of ancient poetry in the No.8 Middle School according to the data and information obtained from the investigation of the teaching situation of ancient poetry and the interviews from the teachers and students.At the same time,the author puts forward some reasonable suggestions.This paper investigates and analyzes the present situation of ancient poetry teaching in the No.8 Middle School in order to make some contributions to the improvement of the Chinese teaching quality in the No.8 Middle School.
