The Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)proposes that geography curriculum should be closely related to life choice knowledge,teach students how to discover geographic problems from life,understand the formation process of geographical principles,and improve students’ living ability.Therefore,the development of geography of life teaching is particularly important.This paper mainly uses the literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to investigate the status of geography of Q middle school in Yanji City,and design questionnaires from four dimensions:learning interest,learning content,learning style and teaching process,and distribute it to some students in Q Middle School.The interview results of Q middle school teachers find out the problems existing in the geography of life teaching in Q middle school,analyze the reasons and propose countermeasures based on the actual situation.Find out the following problems:(1)Students not only affirm the geography of life teaching in the classroom,but also have a very positive attitude towards life-based teaching in the real life.(2)Teachers are not fully developed for the development of land resources.In the choice of life-oriented teaching materials,the degree of matching with the students’existing experience is neglected.The selected living materials are not enough to have the authenticity that they have experienced personally.Lack of resources for learning.(3)Students’ knowledge of geography mostly comes from the teaching of teachers.Students use their lack of practice in life in their spare time.In the classroom,teachers,parents and society fail to give students the support of geography learning.(4)Ignoring the integrity of geography-based teaching,over-reliance on multimedia teaching,and the phenomenon of unfavorable classrooms in the implementation process will affect the effect of student learning.The reasons for the problems are:(1)insufficient attention to the geography subject,ignoring the value of the geography subject(2)the examination-oriented education change is not in place,the student experience life time is very small(3)the deviation from the life-based teaching cognition,only Pay attention to class time and ignore the time of class.(4)The effect of life-based teaching is not ideal,and the existing life experience is,neglected.Combined with the actual situation,the author puts forward suggestions for the geography of life teaching in Q Middle School,which mainly includes two major aspects,the life-oriented teaching in the class and the life-oriented teaching after class.
