Life oriented teaching of geography advocates that students should learn from life in the process of teaching in the field,emphasize the perspective of students in the classroom,and focus on the most familiar geography around students.It starts from students’ real life experience and experience,emphasizes the application of geographical knowledge in real life,can explore and solve real life problems,so that students can learn geography in life,and from geography to life.It is based on students’ life and sublimation.Through learning,students can learn to live and live better.In geography teaching activities,traditional geography teaching is separated from the actual reality of life,while the new curriculum emphasizes life style.Actively carrying out life-oriented teaching is the requirement of the new curriculum reform and an effective way to improve the quality of geography teaching.Based on the disadvantages of traditional geography teaching,we analyze the characteristics of geography teaching under the new curriculum concept,and finally combine the theory of Tao Xingzhi life education.Through the methods of literature research,classroom observation,interview and action research,this paper focuses on the life oriented geography teaching in middle schools in the new era,and investigates the application status of life oriented geography teaching in middle schools.Based on the survey,the paper summarizes the following deficiencies in the life oriented teaching of Geography in Tianshan District of Urumqi: the relevance of life oriented teaching materials is limited;teachers’ understanding of the concept of "learning geography useful for life" is biased;teachers’ efforts in the practical application of life oriented teaching are not enough;students’ natural experience in geography class is limited.In view of the problems found in the survey of life oriented geography teaching,this paper summarizes the implementation strategies of life oriented geography teaching from the aspects of teaching materials,teachers and students.First of all,the content displayed in the textbook should be closely related to the actual life of students,more in line with the life and cognitive characteristics of students.Secondly,teachers need to deeply understand and practice the curriculum concept of "learning geography useful for life".Teachers’ understanding of the curriculum concept of "learning geography useful for life" is directly related to the development effect of geography life teaching.On the basis of full understanding,teachers carefully prepare lessons,better combine life materials,build life Geography Inquiry learning platform,strengthen the teaching of geography basic knowledge,carry out geography life teaching to practice the curriculum concept of "learning geography useful for life",so as to improve the effect of geography life teaching in the high-tech era.Thirdly,enrich students’ natural experience.In order to enrich students’ natural experience and improve the teaching effect of geography class,we can carry out geography research travel in combination with "the second classroom".This paper aims to improve their research ability through investigation and research,help Tianshan District of Urumqi to better practice middle school geography life teaching,and then promote the middle school geography teaching reform in Tianshan District of Urumqi in the new era.
