The development of apprenticeship relationship has gone through a long process from slave society?feudal society?modern society to now.In August 2018,the third batch of pilot list for modern apprenticeships has been promulgated,which has undoubtedly become a hot focus of vocational education reform.The modern apprenticeship is based on the apprenticeship system,it develops from the bud to the modern apprenticeship.Compared with the general education,there is always a specialty,and the existence of the apprenticeship can be said to be one the most basic specialties of apprenticeship.In the developed countries with modern apprenticeships,there are detailed legal provisions on all aspects of apprenticeship.For example,the German Federal Vocational Education Law has clear provision for the sign of the vocational training contract and the rights and obligations of both parties.In China's vocational education law and related regulations,there is a lack of instruction on the right and responsibility rights and obligations in the apprenticeship system.The relationship of the mentor and apprentice,the basic components of the apprenticeship system,has never received the due attention.Even in the craze of modern apprenticeship,laws and regulations that clearly define the relationship between mentoring and apprentice have not yet been issued.This paper summarizes the development of the relationship between mentor and apprentice in the ancient and modern apprenticeship system by means of literature analysis.Through empirical investigation and study on the present situation of the relationship between mentor and apprentice in the modern apprenticeship system,it is concluded that the overall satisfaction of the relationship between mentor and apprentice is not high and the relationship between mentor and apprentice is at the middle and lower levels.Hoping it would better promote the establishment of the harmonious apprenticeship and promote the development ofmodern apprenticeship in long term.Chapter 1 mainly introduces the background and significance of apprenticeship relationship,the current research situation at home and abroad,the core concepts and research methods.Chapter 2 mainly summarizes the process and characteristics of the development of traditional apprenticeship relations in the slave society and feudal society.Chapter 3 mostly studies the relationship between mentor and apprentice in modern society.It is the collapse and reconstruction of the relationship between mentors and apprentices at the turning point of the Opium War.Collapse refers to the emergence of apprentices' rebellious behaviors,with the introduction of free thoughts and the long-term inequality of the powers and responsibilities between mentors and apprentices.Reconstruction refers to the establishment of a series of systems and regulations that attempt to balance the rights and responsibilities of mentors and apprentices during the Republic of China.Chapter 4 mainly discusses the background,course and characteristics of the development of modern apprenticeship relationship.Chapter 5 mainly displays the status quo of the modern apprenticeship relationship.It investigates the status quo in the form of questionnaires,and summarizes the problems and causes of the modern apprenticeship relationship.Chapter 6 proposes suggestions and measures for the improving of the modern apprenticeship system.
