Teacher professional appeal is the intrinsic charm that motivates incumbents to be content with teaching and job seekers to be willing to teach.It is also the source of power for the teachers’ profession to maintain vitality forever.Rural teachers are shouldering the burden of basic education with a large number,heavy responsibilities and great contributions in China.However,in recent years,the research on rural teachers has always been inseparable from a key word-"loss".It is difficult to guarantee the quality of teaching in rural schools because of the inability of in-service teachers and the unwillingness of new teachers to come.The weaker is local education who need teachers,rural education has always been the "short board" of China’s education development,which restricts the improvement of the level of basic education in China.Dingxi is a small city located in the northwest inland of Gansu Province,perennial drought and less rain.With the tide of urbanization and new rural construction,the countryside dominated by planting industry is opening up day by day.A batch of young and middle-aged laborers left the countryside,flow into towns and into urban areas.School-age children also study in cities with their parents.Township schools with insufficient students are more difficult to ensure normal teaching.The author investigates 33 villages and towns middle schools in Anding District.Taking the professional attractiveness of Ideological and political teachers as the research object,and sends out questionnaires and interviews on the spot.Come to conclusion,he professional attraction of Ideological and political teachers in Dingxi Township Middle School of Gansu Province is insufficient,which is manifested in five aspects,the overall age is older,the gender ratio is unbalanced;the educational level is lower,the career development is limited;the loss of students is serious,the sense of occupational well-being is diluted;the backbone teachers can not stay,young teachers are unwilling to come;the ideological and political lessons are not valued,and the promotion of professional titles is difficult.Analysis of the existing problems,it is found that the main reasons leading to the unreasonable flow of Ideological and political teachers arechildren’s education and wages,followed by personal career development in Dingxi Township Middle School.To solve these problems fundamentally,firstly,we should solve the problem of serious shortage of students in township schools from the aspect of enrollment management;secondly,we should consider the professional development needs of front-line teachers and the real dilemma and urgent needs of ensuring the quality of life,give township teachers a certain degree of autonomy space,and finally give positive guidance from the unique advantages of township schools,encourage outstanding young people to stay in the countryside and love rural education.
