Secretary General Xi Jinping mentioned at the symposium for ideological and political class teachers: “doing a great job in ideological and political class concerns whether there will be qualified successors for China's socialist undertakings with distinctive features and is the important guarantee for cultivating one generation after another of socialist builders and successors.On this issue,we must enhance our political standing,deepen our ideological understandings,hold a clear banner and make a clear commitment,boldly do a good job in teaching the ideological and political course,and truly put in place the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people.” Communist Party of China and the Chinese government have always attached great importance to ideological and political education and raised political course to the strategic height of cultivating builders and successors for the undertaking of socialism with Chinese characteristics.However,currently high school political and ideological course teaching is not so attractive to high school students,leading to the lack of learning initiative in some high school students.This cannot not only lead to the inability to finish the teaching assignment for ideological and political course in high school.More importantly,we are unable to put in place the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance and practical significance to probe deep into strategies for enhancing the attractiveness of high school ideological and political course teaching.Based on sorting out relevant domestic and overseas literature on attractiveness of high school ideological and political course teaching,the thesis has conducted sampling survey and in-depth interview on some high school students and political teachers in five high schools in Sichuan Province,and found that some high school students do not prepare before class,are lazy and sluggish in class,only learn passively after class,which reflects the lack of attractiveness for high school ideological and political course teaching.Based on this,the thesis summarizes reasons from such perspectives as ideological understanding,teaching content,educators,and teaching styles.Moreover,the thesis has proposed countermeasures for strengthening political and ideological awareness,scientifically interpreting the teaching content,comprehensively enhancing teachers' quality,and improving the educational and teaching styles,thereby enhancing the attractiveness for high school ideological and political course.Starting from the perspective of attractiveness,this thesis studies the teaching of high school ideological and political course and hopes to provide some reference for developing the educational undertaking on high school ideological and political course,and contributes to the comprehensive development of high school students.
