A Study On The Current Situation Of Primary School Students' Parents Receiving Family Education Guidance

Education begins with the family.Whether family education is effective or successful depends largely on the family environment and the quality of parents' education.To improve the level of family education,scientific family education guidance is indispensable.Based on the existing research at home and abroad,this study combs the literature of family education guidance,combines the tasks and characteristics of family education in primary school stage,and compiles the Outline of Parent Interview,the Outline of Interview with Family Education Instructors and the Questionnaire of Family Education Guidance Services.Using this as a measurement tool,234 parents of primary school students were surveyed about their current situation of receiving family education guidance and their needs for guidance.Through the analysis and combing of the research results,the following conclusions are finally drawn in this study:(1)About the present situation of education quality of primary school students' families and parents in Nanchang.Parents in private schools are more educated and occupational than those in public schools.The responsibility of family education is mainly assumed by mothers,whose influence on pupils is higher than that of fathers.Parents 'educational quality is at a good level in the three aspects of "educational concept","educational ability" and "educational mode".Parents and instructors are concerned about the improvement of parents' educational ability and methods.The instructors expect to update parents' educational concept and improve parents' attitude towards upbringing.Parents prefer to improve their educational ability.This reflects parents' pursuit of effectiveness in improving educational quality.(2)On the current situation and existing problems of family education guidance.Public schools,for various reasons,have almost no guidance except for the parents' meetings every semester.Private schools pay more attention to guidance services than public schools.Parents mainly receive guidance services from school organizations,supplemented by guidance services from community or social guidance organizations.The main contents of guidance are educational concepts and knowledge;collective guidance is the main way of guidance;individual guidance is mainly through the use of new media such as telephone,QQ,Weixin,Weibo and so on;the time is generally arranged in the day of weekends and holidays;the frequency of guidance is mainly 2-3 times a year.(3)On the current situation of parents' demand for guidance.More than 70% of parents have guidance needs.Parents hope to acquire the ability and method of educating their children,pay more attention to the guidance of their children's emotional and emotional development,learning interest and habit cultivation;the demand for collective guidance is greater than that for individual guidance,but the demand for modern new media guidance such as the use of the Internet is rising rapidly,and gradually becomes the main way of guidance.(4)The current situation and problems of family education instructors for primary school students.The school's instructors are mainly class teachers,supplemented by teachers in the moral education department,and there are no full-time family education instructors.And the instructors have few opportunities to receive training,most of them are guided by Self-taught knowledge or experience,and their professionalism is not high.Based on the above conclusions,it is suggested that(1)help parents establish lifelong learning concept and enrich the content of guidance;(2)provide diversified ways of participation and professional family education guidance;(3)strengthen the training of family education instructors for primary school students;(4)formulate relevant policies and regulations to strengthen government support.
