Contemporary College Students’ Moral Belief Status And Educational Countermeasures

Moral belief is the conviction and esteem of moral beliefs for certain moral values ideals and moral norms.Its inner content includes the following three aspects:moral belief body,moral belief object,and moral belief practice.It plays an important role in shaping the moral personality of college students,improving the moral status of college students,and emphasizing the moral consensus of college students.At present,China’s social economy is developing rapidly,and various ideologies and cultures have been accelerated.The contradictions and problems caused by this have impacted on the moral values of college students.The college students,As a builder and successor of socialism with Chinese characteristics,are the backbone of the "Chinese dream".The current situation of their moral beliefs is a question worthy of attention and consideration.This article aims at a special group of undergraduate students and conducts a questionnaire survey of university students in Chang-Zhu-Tan area to analyze the current situation of contemporary college students’ moral beliefs.After analysis,the author finds that the contemporary college students’ moral beliefs are not only characterized by moral beliefs,but also characterized by the characteristics of the times,diversity,variability,and plasticity.In fact,the moral beliefs of college students are positive,but there are also problems such as the vague cognition of moral beliefs,moral indifference,inflexible moral will,ideological utilitarianism,and obvious tendency in practicality.The reasons for these problems are not only the negative influence of the social moral environment,but also the lack of moral education in the home and school,and of course,the lack of moral self-cultivation of college students.Therefore,the author believes that the solution to the existing problems of college students’ moral beliefs should start with society,schools,families and college students themselves.First of all,it is necessary to create a social and moral environment for the healthy growth of college students.Second,we must increase the education of college students’ moral beliefs.This requires the joint efforts of both the school and the family.Thirdly,we must enhance the ability of moral education of college students.
