With the rapid development of the world economy,various environmental problems have become more and more prominent,warning us that human beings need to face up to the environmental crisis they face and to raise people's awareness of environmental protection has become the most important solution to this crisis.Humans need to face up to environmental issues and respond positively.Modern society requires citizens to understand resources,population,and the environment scientifically.In order to establish a sustainable development concept and form a civilized production and lifestyle,environmental education is imperative.Environmental education research is conducive to discovering problems and improving the effectiveness of environmental education.In the past few decades,China's environmental education has developed to a certain extent.However,due to China's large population,economic development pressures and environmental education started late,environmental education research theory is insufficiently precipitated,and there are many problems in the current situation of environmental education,which need to be solved and improved.The middle school period is the best time for students to establish a sustainable development concept,while the geography curriculum has a unique advantage in implementing environmental education.Geography requires men and land as the main line,and sustainable development is the relationship between the ideas that guide the mind.Therefore,the analysis and research on the current situation of environmental education in high school geography is conducive to discovering problems,and combining various educational resources to resolve the majorization of high school geography environment education and improve its' benefits.Method of literature review,questionnaire survey and case analysis are basically adopted in this paper.this paper summarizes the development status and theoretical research achievements of environmental education at China and abroad,At the same time,analyzes the goal of the geography course of the high school in China,organize the contents of environmental education in the PEP high school geography textbooks for people's education,to explain the advantages of implementing environmental education in high school geography curriculum.Then combine field research,analyzing the current situation of environmental education in high school geography curriculum,find problems.Finally,combine the general high school geography curriculum standards and the PEP high school geography curriculum content to design some teaching cases from three aspects: environmental protection knowledge,environmental protection behavior and environmental awareness.
