At present,the core literacy education is attracting more and more attention at home and abroad,and has become an important direction of education teaching reform.Geography courses are of great value in promoting the growth and development of students.In particular,geography teaching in junior high school plays a key role in geography education,which should be highly valued.At the same time,situational teaching,as one of the important directions of current curriculum reform,provides an important means for cultivating students' core geographical literacy.Based on this,this paper first defines and explains the concept of geography core accomplishment and geography situation teaching in junior high school scientifically,in order to provide a solid theoretical foundation for the research of this subject.Then,by designing students' questionnaires and conducting interviews with teachers,this paper investigates the implementation status of geography situation teaching in junior middle schools based on core accomplishment,in order to explore and analyze the deficiencies and problems in teaching practice.The survey found that the main problems existing in geography situation teaching in junior middle schools are as follows: teacher's weak understanding of core geography literacy;The form of situational teaching is simplified and fragmented.Situation creation emphasizes knowledge over thinking,classroom over practice,etc.Then,in view of the above problems,the author thinks that we should promote teachers' situational teaching ability,establish reasonable combination of the teaching situation,create a life teaching situation,highlight the practice of teaching situation and so on four dimensions to optimize and improve the teaching junior high school geography situation and based on the cultivation of effective core implementation geography.Finally,based on the author's junior middle school geography teaching practice,the author chose "Sub-saharan Africa","China's population distribution" and "the drawing and application of contour topographic map" as typical cases to further verify and deepen the viewpoints and conclusions of this paper.
