The 21 st century is the era of information explosion.Under the environment of development of science and technology and of the high speed of information updating,the cultivation of students' critical thinking,which has become one of the core goals of quality education in many countries.The new high school Chinese curriculum standard clearly points out the importance of promoting the development of students' thinking,while the core quality of the subject and the learning task group clearly show the necessity and feasibility of combining writing with critical thinking.In addition,the nature of Chinese courses stipulates that writing plays an indispensable role in Chinese teaching.As a process of rationalizing thinking and self expressing,writing urgently needs the participation of critical thinking.Therefore,it is feasible to practice critical writing teaching in high school.Based on educational practice,this paper studies the connotation of critical thinking and elaborates the definition of critical writing by analyzing relevant materials of critical thinking and writing teaching,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for the construction of critical writing teaching.Analyzing the teachers' teaching content in writing and their course arrangements as well as students' classroom performance and their compositions through observing classes,analyzing cases and other methods,the author found out some problems existed in the teachers are randomness of writing teaching content,shortage o f writing class,improper teaching methods and the problems existed in the students are lacking of interest in writing and lacking of critical thinking ability.By analyzing the reasons for the above problems and mastering the current problems in the cultivation of critical writing,we can put forward teaching strategies based on it and try to establish the teaching model of critical writing.Consider that critical high school writing teaching should follow the mode of "one core,two methods and four links".Using the writing and reading method to put the reading,analysis,writing and evaluation in practice in the critical writing teaching,so as to improve their cultivating writing ability.
