Research On The Development Of Honor System In American Universities

Honor System is one of the important ways for American universities to carry out academic integrity education for college students.As one of the most important contents in the honesty education of American universities,it can be used so far because with the development of the Times,the honor system itself is constantly changing,going through the germination and initial establishment stage,spreading the adjustment stage,after the new stage of stable development,we strive to synchronize with the current students and the development requirements of the times,and constantly standardize and rationalize.Its management concept and successful experience in the increasingly serious phenomenon of academic misconduct today,China's university students to establish the concept of good faith,purify the academic environment has a strong reference significance.This article is divided into three main parts:The first part is the introduction,the star expounds the reason of this paper,the theoretical and practical significance of the thesis research,through the classification of the current situation of the study,expounds the degree of domestic and foreign scholars in this field,through the definition of the core concepts to make the key points of this study more clear.The second part is the main part of this paper,which contains five chapters,of which the first three chapters respectively carry on the stage analysis research to the honor system development,the fourth to fifth chapter carries on the whole analysis,obtains the Enlightenment.The first chapter is the germination and establishment period of the honor system,introduces the background of the honor system,as well as the development process of the germination period,and analyzes the content of the honor system when it is established,and the second chapter studies the honor system which has entered the transmission adjustment stage,respectively,to the difference of the honor system in the process of dissemination,As well as other schools in the implementation procedure,connotation scope,punishment mode of three dimensions of the adjustment for specific analysis;The third chapter studies the new connotation of the honor system in the new stage of stable development,the various ways that the university adopts in order to accelerate the progress of the academic atmosphere purification,as well as the external support of legal policy,academic groups,foundations,etc.The fourth chapter analyzes the theoretical basis on which the honor system can be developed,and explains the influencing factors and effectiveness of the development of the honorary system,and the fifth chapter draws the Enlightenment to promote the academic integrity education of universities in China.The third part is the conclusion,in the reference to maintain a sober mind,rational judgment and thinking,based on China's specific reality,the construction of an academic integrity system with Chinese characteristics.To sum up,this article starts from the historical background and basic context of the development of the honorary System of American universities,and tries to reproduce it objectively and completely,and combines the analysis of the stage characteristics and the overall characteristics of the honor system,in order to draw the Enlightenment and reference to our country.
