At present,achievement motivation and self-management ability have been paid attention to and studied in many fields.In the field of education,the objects of study are usually young children and college students,but there is little research on the group of secondary vocational school students.The purpose of this paper is to explore the intermediary role of self-management ability between achievement motivation and academic achievement,and to make use of group guidance to put forward feasible intervention countermeasures,so as to provide an effective plan for improving the self-management ability of secondary vocational school students.This paper takes secondary vocational students as the research object,and the research is divided into two parts:the first part uses the questionnaire method.The researcher sends out 1000 questionnaires,collects 844 valid questionnaires,which carries on the statistical analysis to the collected data,and explores the relationship between achievement motivation,self-management ability and academic achievement of secondary vocational students.In the second part,30 people with low self-management ability were selected and divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group members were intervened in group counseling activities for 10 times,and the control group members were not intervened in any way.The effectiveness of group counseling in improving the self-management ability of secondary vocational school students was discussed.Through this study,the following conclusions are drawn:1.There is no significant gender difference in achievement motivation and self-management ability in secondary vocational school,but there was significant gender difference in academic achievement.2.Secondary vocational school generation motivation,self-management ability grade difference is not significant,academic achievement grade difference is significant.3.There are no significant difference in achievement motivation,self-management ability and academic achievement between secondary vocational school students and academic achievement sources.4.There is a significant positive correlation among achievement motivation,self-management ability and academic achievement.5.Secondary vocational school students’ self-management ability plays a complete intermediary role between achievement motivation and academic achievement.6.After group counseling,the scores of self-management ability and achievement of the subjects in the experimental group have increased significantly compared with those before the experiment.But there was no significant change in the control group.This shows that group counseling can be used as an effective way to improve the self-management ability,achievement motivation and academic achievement of secondary vocational school students.In view of the research conclusion,the author puts forward the following suggestions:correcting the education concept,laying the foundation for the lifelong development of secondary vocational students;paying attention to the gender differences of secondary vocational students,teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and having a definite aim;creating a good campus atmosphere to ensure the healthy growth of secondary vocational students;carrying out group psychological counseling activities,carrying out stratified training;combining various methods to improve the knowledge management ability of secondary vocational students.
