The development of China's social work has benefited from the rapid development of China's social economy since the reform and opening-up,the transformation of government functions from social management to social governance, and the combination of theory and practice of social work under the guidance of professional education. From professional theory construction to practical exploration to the development of the whole industry,as the carrier and platform of social work, social work organizations, especially private social work organizations, play an extremely important role in it.Looking at the development of social work in China,we can see that in the southern areas of Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Dongguan and Shanghai, the development level of social work and social work organizations are ahead of the northern areas, especially in the northeast.Behind the gap lies the difference of economic, cultural and political factors between the North and the South. Thanks to the higher level of market economy development and the innovative transformation of government's social governance logic, social workers in the South are more likely to get the support of funds, policies and other related resources in their primary development. On the contrary, social workers in the North, especially in the Northeast, are subject to the economic downturn. There are still many difficulties in its development, such as the rigidity of government administration and the late start of social work.Whether the number or scale of social work institutions, the gap between them and the South is growing. However,in such a difficult development environment,we have noticed that there are still some social work institutions surviving, and there is a good momentum of development. So,what factors determine the survival and development of these institutions in the resource-poor and underdeveloped northeast region? Through interviewing the leaders of relevant social work organizations and observing their survival and development paths, the author tries to study the development of social work organizations from the perspective of the personality traits of the leaders of institutions. The Karisma personality traits of the leaders of institutions and how they affect the development of institutions are the focus and significance of this study.
