In recent years,with the rise of divorce rate in China,more and more families have disintegrated,followed by the emergence of a large number of teenagers from single parent families.Teenagers from single parent families are in adolescence,their minds are not yet mature,and they are facing a series of problems such as academic pressure and family tension.It is inevitable that teenagers from single parent families will feel depressed and painful.Some choose to avoid difficulties or even go astray.It is urgent to improve their resilience and help them face up to and solve difficulties.From the perspective of social work,based on the professional theory of social work,this paper uses the group work method to help teenagers from single parent families improve their resilience.This study takes the adolescents from single parent families in D middle school in X city as the research object.50 adolescents from single parent families are randomly selected from D middle school for stress resistance test.It is found that most adolescents from single parent families are at a low and medium stress resistance level.Through interviews,questionnaires and other means of investigation and analysis,it is further found that the resilience level of adolescents from single parent families is low,which is mainly reflected in their weak emotional management ability,lack of goal-making ability,lack of interpersonal communication ability,lack of family support,weak problem-solving ability and so on Access to family support and other needs.At the same time,it is found that the main reasons for the low level of resilience of adolescents from single parent families are the weak internal personal strength represented by weak emotional management ability and poor communication with others,and the lack of external support for family support and school resilience teaching.Further,the author randomly selected 9 group members with appropriate conditions from the adolescents from single parent families who participated in the survey.Based on the advantage perspective theory,empowerment theory and social support theory,the author carried out group work with the themes of familiarization with group members,cognitive adversity,emotional management,goal setting,communication and mutual assistance,family support,school help and consolidating achievements,Eight activities aimed at improving internal personal strength and external support to achieve the goal of improving resilience.Finally,through the evaluation of the results of group work,it is found that the resilience level of adolescents from single parent families in emotional management,positive cognition and family support has been significantly improved,and the goals set by the group have been basically achieved.The resilience of adolescents from single parent families has been improved to varying degrees in all dimensions.The innovation of this paper is reflected in the selection of research objects,research content and intervention framework,so as to provide a comprehensive social support system for teenagers from single parent families.However,due to the limited research conditions and time,this paper inevitably has deficiencies.It is expected that more scholars will explore the path to improve the resilience of adolescents from single parent families through further research in the future,so as to protect the healthy growth of adolescents from single parent families.
