Reading teaching,as an important part of primary school Chinese teaching,plays a very important role in the life and learning process of primary school students.It undertakes the mission of developing students' language abilities such as listening,speaking,reading and writing,and plays a very important role in enriching students' emotions and improving their reading literacy.Through reading,students can enrich their knowledge,improve their cultural accomplishment,purify their mind,cultivate their moral sentiment,and form a correct world outlook,outlook on life and values.But in the current rural primary school language classroom teaching activities there are many problems,the status quo is worrying.For the sake of the so-called "achievement",many front-line rural teachers only pay attention to the students' mastery of new words and recitation of texts.Reading teaching can not receive due attention at all.There are many problems,such as less teaching time,old teaching methods,single teaching methods,outmoded teaching mode,and basically no teaching evaluation.In view of this situation,this paper,based on the investigation and study of the present situation of reading teaching in Yangqiao Town,Linquan County,starts from the reality of reading teaching in rural primary schools,seeks for the reasons why students' reading literacy can not be really improved,and then analyzes and classifies these reasons,trying to put forward teaching strategies.Strive to verify and enrich the theory of Chinese reading teaching.
