In the essay, excellent students and students with learning difficulties from Senior Grade Two participate in a survey test containing ten math problems. Greater differences in stiategy for solving problem have been found. They are caused by the following weak links of the students with learning difficulties in the course of solving the ten math problems: (1) The poor mastery of the elementary knowledge and the faults in their knowledge chains. (2) A lack of stated knowledge. (3) A lack of nimblenss and vastness in thinking. (4) A lack of good metacognitive level of solving problem. In accordance with the weak links of the students with learning difficulties , the following measures can be taken to improve their strategy to solve problem: (1) To persuade them to overcome their fear of math problems. (2) To train their good thinking quality. (3) To use Prompting Method by G Polya to form their metacognitive ability and improve their ability to solve math problems. (4) To reinforce the communication between the two kinds of students and encourage the students with learning difficulties to take in and draw lessons from the strong points of the excellent students.
