The concept of compiling textbooks is the soul of publishing textbooks,and is the core guiding ideology throughout the textbook compiling process.When I read the papers,I found that during the Republic of China,in the first volume of each set of textbooks,"editing intentions" were issued,mainly explaining: the compilation purpose,the selection criteria,and the compilation methods,which reflects the concept of compiling textbooks.This aroused my research interest,so I took the evolution of textbook compilation concept as the topic of my graduation thesis.Beginning to collect various versions of primary school textbooks from 1912 to 1937 as the first-hand information for the research.Through the analysis of the materials,it is determined that the major events of education and culture are the time nodes,and the evolution of the compilation concept of Chinese textbooks for primary schools from 1912 to 1937 is divided into three stages: the update of the concept of compiling Chinese textbooks for primary schools from 1912 to 1918;the reform of the concept of compiling Chinese textbooks in primary schools from 1919 to 1927;the turning of the concept of compiling Chinese textbooks in primary schools from 1928 to 1937.Based on the original data,the author determines that the changes in the publication of textbooks are based on the changes of the national educational objectives,national language curriculum standards and goals,etc.And specifically describes the background conditions for the evolution of the concept of compiling textbooks for primary schools at various stages;In-depth exploration the practice of the concept of compiling Chinese textbooks,analyzes and expounds the concrete manifestation of the textbook compiling concept in the compilation and publication of textbooks,summarizes the main features of the compiling concepts in primary schools in the preparation of primary school textbooks.On the whole,the concept of compiling Chinese textbooks for primary schools from 1912 to 1937 was constantly changing and developing.This made the compiling of primary school Chinese textbooks constantly innovate,and the textbooks were more complete in the content system and arrangement structure.It is these innovations and changes that have promoted the development of Chinese textbooks in primary schools,accelerated the process of textbook modernization,and provided useful references for the preparation of contemporary primary school Chinese textbooks.
