Rural primary and secondary school teachers are the core force of rural basic education.Their professional development level is directly related to the quality of rural education and the development of rural social economy.In view of the fact that teacher professional development is a dynamic and systematic process,the research on teacher professional development has never been interrupted.Among them,with the implementation of the strategy of revitalizing the countryside,the professional development of rural teachers has also received widespread attention.With the success of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the promotion of the Rural Teacher Support Plan(2015-2020),the social security mechanism for rural teachers in China has been continuously improved,and the professional development of teachers has achieved certain results.However,there are still many problems in the process of professional development of rural primary and secondary school teachers.This writing takes Huangmei County of Hubei Province as an example to carry out research.This paper analyzes and summarizes the related research at home and abroad by means of literature research,questionnaire investigation and interview.According to the research of many scholars and the interpretation of national policy documents,the concept and content of teacher professional development are expounded.The author has carried on questionnaire survey and interview to the rural primary school teacher in the hometown,combined with the literature material and the data obtained from the survey,analyzed the problems and obstacles existing in the rural primary school teacher's professional development.Since the professional development of teachers is a systematic project,it needs external conditions and internal conditions of teachers to advance together.This paper tries to put forward the countermeasures to promote the professional development of rural primary school teachers from inside and outside the support system.The external support system mainly includes the national policy and school system,while the internal support system covers the independent development of teachers.Only the internal and external two systems of the joint promotion can fundamentally ensure the smooth development of rural teachers professional development.
