It's well known that the teacher is playing a vital role in school education and teaching quality,so teachers' professional development is the key of the educational development.More higher demands about teachers' qualities have been provided by the deepening of education form in China.Therefore the teachers' professional development has become the focus of attention.At the same time,the stress of education reform contribute to the teachers' developing profession.In recent years,the gender structure of the teachers of China rural primary schools has undergone major changes that the number of female teachers in rural primary schools has increased and the proportion of men and women is larger and larger.It is obvious that rural female teachers have played an important role in rural primary school to some extent.However,the attention to their professional development has often been summed up to the whole rural teachers with rare gender differences.The current situation and problems for teachers' professional development in different areas is different.Such as the relatively backward educational situation and the limited educational resources of S Town,Chengwu County,where the teachers' professional development should be paid more attention.On the premise of the respect for sex,the female teachers in the rural primary school of S Town,Chengwu County are taken as the research object and the research methods of questionnaire and interview etc.They are adopted to analyze the current situation,the problems of professional development of female teachers and the measures of their professional development in the rural primary school.The research is divided into five parts as follows:The first part is the introduction.It includes: the proposal of the problem,the significance of the research,the relative literature review,the definitions of core concepts,the theoretical basis,research ideas and methods of the paper.The second part is the investigation and analysis on the current status of female teachers' professional development in rural primary schools.It includes the situation of the investigation area,the purpose,the content and the implementation of the survey,the reliability and validity of the questionnaire,the results and analysis of the investigation,the data analysis of the interviews.The third part is the analysis of the problems existing in the professional development of female teachers in rural primary schools.It includes the special difficuities of female teachers faced in the professional development,the professional quality of female teachers needs to be improved,the management and campus culture lacking humanistic care,the school and the obvious gender bias in rural social environment.The fourth part is the strategy of the female teachers' professional development in rural primary schools.Specifically,female teachers should attach importance to their professional developmentand try to promote the development of professional quality.The management and campus culture should embody the gender concern,optimize the rurul social environment and promote gender equality.
