Investigation And Research On Parental Participation In Pupils' Homework

With the transformation of society and the change of educational concept,the function of education is becoming more and more socialized,and the subject of education is becoming more and more diversified.The impact of parents on children's academic achievement has been a growing concern.In the practice of parental participation in the education of children,parental participation in homework is an important component.The study of parental participation in pupils' homework will not only enrich the theoretical value of the indicator framework for parental participation in the homework,but also have a certain degree of practical guidance and reference for the objects involved in parental participation in homework.In this study,parents of primary school students in grade 4 to 6 in “Z” primary school in Huangshi City were selected as the research objects.Through the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,the present situation of parental participation was investigated.This study includes six parts.The first part is the introduction,which explains the reasons for selecting this topic and research significance of the topic,discusses the relevant theoretical basis for supporting parents to participate in primary school students' homework,defines the relevant concepts,and combs the literature.The second part is design for research,including problems,objectives,content,methods,ideas and framework for research.The third part is the analysis of the survey results for parental participation in primary school students' homework.The fourth part is to discuss the present situation.The fifth part is to put forward the suggestion of the effective parental participation in the homework of primary school students.The sixth part is the conclusion,including the lack of research and prospect.Through the analysis of the present situation for parental participation in primary school students' homework,Some problems were discussed in this study: the imbalance of roles for parental participation in homework,the parents' own educational level restricts their participation behavior,the scientific guidance ofteachers can promote parents' participation in homework,Intergenerational education and off-campus care weakened parents' participation behavior,The children's academic performance affects the parents 'participation.On this basis,suggestions are put forward from three levels of parents,teachers and society: mobilizing the main role of parental participation,playing a guiding role of teachers in parental participation in homework,and seeking social support role for parents' participation in homework.The aim is to promote the effective participation of parents in primary school pupils' homework,to improve their children's academic achievements,and to achieve full development in physical and mental health.
