With the economic and social development of our country,parents’ expectations for their children’s education are increasing,but there is also the phenomenon that some parents are indifferent to their children’s learning while others are excessively involved.In order to reveal the current situation of primary school parents’ participation in homework,find out the outstanding problems and the causes of these problems,in this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 798 parents in S Primary School in Zhangjiakou(the school has a good demonstration as a key primary school in the district),and the interview was used as an auxiliary tool to refer to the relevant research ideas.This paper examines the behavior and attitude of primary school parents’ participation in homework from six dimensions: providing support,parent-teacher communication,behavior supervision,content guidance,and cultivating autonomy.It also analyzes the correlation between parents’ subjective personal factors,parents’ objective background factors,interactive relationship factors and parents’ participation,so as to provide guidance for parents to effectively participate in children’s homework.And promote the improvement of students’ autonomous learning ability.The results show that: in S Primary School,parents’ attitude towards homework participation is positively correlated with behavior,but behavior lags behind;fathers participate in homework management less;parents participate in homework with different types;parent-teacher communication is not effective;teachers and parents lack consistency in the standard of "behavior supervision";individual parents lack subjective awareness and ability to participate in homework.The influencing factors involved are: parents’ role awareness,occupation,monthly income,family structure,educational concept,educational expectation,sense of self-efficacy,concentration,grade,academic achievement,whether they are an only child,subject category,and the degree of communication.Among them,parents with superior socio-economic status are more active in their children’s homework;the concept of parents’ participation in homework is directly affected by the level of education;parents’ personal subjective factors are the decisive factors affecting the degree of participation;children’s low academic concentration and academic level lead to low parental participation,and with the increase of children’s grade,parents’ participation behavior decreases.Nuclear families pay more attention to the cultivation of children’s learning autonomy;teachers’ active communication can stimulate parents’ enthusiasm to participate in homework;parents in S primary school have low participation in liberal arts homework.Based on the above research results,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions from the national level,social level and parents’ personal level,in order to improve the current situation of parents’ participation in homework,promote children’s learning ability,and fundamentally reduce the burden of schoolwork.
