This paper takes the 68 sets of examination questions in the national college entrance examination geography volume from 1952 to 2018 as the research text.On the basis of historical stages,the history of China’s college entrance examination geography is divided into the first period from 1952 to 1959,the second period from 1978 to 1993,and the third period from 2000 to 2018.Through the research and analysis of the geographical test situation in each period,the value orientation characteristics of the test situation in different periods are summarized.The value orientation between 1952 and1959 reflects the superiority of socialist system,the antagonism between socialist system and capitalist system,and the importance of maintaining national stability and national unity.The value orientation from 1978 to 1993 emphasized the practicality of geography knowledge and highlighted the discipline of geography.The value orientation from 2000 to 2018 focuses on international issues and changes in the world situation,increases the context of environmental protection questions,and highlights the educational value of geography.Based on the above conclusions,we can reveal the law of the evolution of the value orientation of geographical examination questions.The characteristics of the value orientation of geography examination papers show the trend of diversified ways,and the contents are becoming more and more rich and novel.The value orientation of the test questions changed from the initial focus on national interests and collective goals to the focus on individual needs and life experience.The practical significance of this study is to put forward opinions on the compilation of the situation of the geographical examination questions in China’s college entrance examination,including selecting the situation data with educational significance,creating the real background of the situation of the geographical examination questions in the college entrance examination,and carefully designing the text expression of the situation of the geographical examination questions in the college entrance examination.Value orientation is the theoretical significance of the study reveal exam situation varies with the changes of The Times and the evolving law of change,in different periods of three,exam situation of value orientation from the early stages of the founding of the national interests of the political education purpose,to restore the university entrance exam forthe social and economic development of practical knowledge,to the student individual development as the goal of quality education,from the side reflects the era background of curriculum value choice,and thus indirectly affect the value orientation of the test situation.The last part is the reflection on the situation compilation of the national college entrance examination in China.In the future,the situation of the national college entrance examination in China should pay more attention to the education,authenticity and language suitability of the situation.
