In recent years,one of the hot topics in the education field is the core literacy of mathematics.Education requires students to learn not only the knowledge in the school bag,but also the literacy that transcend the knowledge of books.Mathematics is the main lesson that every child must learn from the beginning of school.We must not only let students master mathematics,but more importantly,teach students to look at problems from a mathematical perspective and use mathematical ideas to think about problems.Primary education is the foundation of the entire educational undertaking.It is a period for children to transition to adolescents.It is the most crucial period for children's physical and mental development.Education in this period will give an important enlightenment in the development of people's whole life.It is especially important to improve the core literacy of primary school teachers and to cultivate students' core literacy in the primary school classroom.By collecting the literature related to this subject,and making appropriate analysis and research,this paper believes that the core literacy of primary school mathematics is embodied in the “four ability”,namely mathematical observation,mathematical thinking,mathematical expression,and mathematical practice.The specific explanation is that primary school students can form,explain and use mathematics in any situation.This is an important character and key ability to adapt to the needs of lifelong development and social development.The specific performance is the ability to have mathematical observation,mastering the mathematical methods of thinking,and having the ability to solve problems with mathematical thinking.At the same time,this paper finds out the problems existing in the core literacy training of primary school mathematics through learning the fifth and sixth grade students and their teachers of the author's school.This paper preliminarily summarizes the training strategy suitable for the core literacy of mathematics in primary education.They are strategies to improve teachers' professional literacy,and to stimulate students' interest in learning,and strategies for cultivating students' mathematical thinking.This paper aims to provide reference for the cultivation and improvement of the core literacy of mathematics in primary education.
