With the development of the urbanization,people pay more and more attention to the research of the city culture.The research on the images of the city has become a new hot spot of the academic field.This paper focuses on the selections of current middle school textbooks which have city images of Beijing,using the theories of the urban aesthetics,history,geography,and other related theories to research.Not only pay attention to the significance of history and culture,but also the aesthetic value of the city images.The start point of this paper is aesthetic,taking the editions of the People's education press and the Jiangsu education press as Example,then excavating the connotation from "history and culture","citizen character" and "literature imagination".The value of city is not only a place of human survival,but also a carrier of emotional experience.Therefore,on the one hand,focusing on the external landscape of city,on the other hand,following the citizen's emotional experience and the writer's literature imagination.The paper is interpreted step by step.First,analyzing the texts about city.Second,taking the Beijing imagine as the carrier of-aesthetic education.Third,discussing the methods of aesthetic education from "aesthetic perception","aesthetic imagination"and "aesthetic creativity".In a word,this paper focuses on the aesthetic value of the urban texts,intended to motivate the emotional identity of the city,and rich the aesthetic experience of middle school students in the value of city culture and aesthetics.
