Studies have shown that the large scale of primary school students in China has seriously hindered the development of education and the progress of society, and has become one of the key research areas of sociology, education, psychology and other disciplines.Studies have shown that students with learning difficulties in primary schools are formed under the combined effects of their own, peer group, family, school and society. In terms of their own factors, scholars have found that students with learning difficulties in primary schools generally have low academic self-efficacy,and there is a significant positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and academic marks of primary school students with learning difficulties. The students with learning difficulties are mainly to complete the task of comprehensive study and physical and mental health development in primary school stage. The low academic self-efficacy of students with learning difficulties in primary schools not only affects their academic performance, but also is not conducive to the development of their physical and mental health. At present, students with learning difficulties in primary schools generally have the following characteristics:low sense of self-identity,poor self-discipline,unscientific learning methods, poor quality of homework, not listening carefully in class, slow learning progress, often late, truancy and so on.In terms of improving the academic self-efficacy of students with learning difficulties in primary schools, scholars have mainly carried out research from the macro level of improving the social environment and improving the school's software and hardware facilities, and achieved good results;A very small number of scholars have carried out research from the micro level of their own factors, family atmosphere and parenting style, and also have achieved good results, but the phenomenon of primary school students with learning difficulties are still exists, and further research is needed.Based on this background, this paper analyzes the current situation of students with learning difficulties in primary schools, analyzes the causes of students with learning difficulties in primary schools, and applies the value concept of self-help,individualization,respect,acceptance and cooperation, under the guidance of ABC theory.Conduct group work interventions to explore the ideas, strategies, and methods of group work for improving the self-efficacy of students with learning difficulties in primary schools. This study conducted an observation and interview on the fifth-grade students of L primary school in the early stage of the formal work of the students with learning difficulties in the fifth grade of L primary school in Wuhan. It was found that the low self-efficacy of academics was common among the students with learning difficulties in primary schools.Mainly manifested in the lack of a correct view of learning, lack of motivation for learning, unscientific learning objectives, low psychological tolerance, lack of confidence in learning, lack of mastery of learning methods, and lack of learning ability.Based on this, the author used ABC theory to conduct an in-depth analysis of the reasons for the low academic self-efficacy of the students with learning difficulties in primary school, and found that it was closely related to the students themselves, family factors, school factors and social factors.Under the combined action of various factors, the students with learning difficulties have low academic self-efficacy.This study is based on the previous survey of the needs of students with learning difficulties in the fifth grade of L primary school. The first attempt was to use the group work professional method to intervene from the individual level to the problem of low academic self-efficacy of students with learning difficulties in primary schools under the guidance of ABC theory. It is carried out in three aspects:changing learning cognition, improving learning ability and improving communication skills. It helps primaiy school students with learning difficulties to get out of learning difficulties, enhance academic self-efficacy,and establish a positive and healthy learning and life outlook.Combined with the process and evaluation of six group works,it can be found that the group members have recognized the importance of learning, further stimulate the learning motivation of the group members, and establish a correct view of learning. In addition, the group work also improved the learning methods and skills of the group members to a certain extent, and enhanced their confidence in learning and interpersonal skills. It is enough to prove that the group work method and ABC theory are applicable to improve the self-efficacy of students, with learning difficulties in primary school, and can achieve certain intervention effects. However, due to the limited professional level of the author, the following deficiencies still exist in this study:first,The finiteness of group work intervention affects the overall effect of service;Second, the practice ability of group workers is insufficient, which needs to be further enhanced;Third, the intervention cycle of group work is relatively short, and the service effect continues are remain to be discussed.
