In the context of the new curriculum reform,quality-oriented education puts forward higher requirements for high school geography teaching in the implementation process.The development and application of curriculum resources have attracted the attention of many education scholars,and will become an important direction of future curriculum research.Current affairs hot spots have the characteristics of timeliness,authenticity and close connection with life,which can be well used as the supplement of course resources,to explore new ideas of geography teaching in senior high school,and to enhance the interest and practice of geography learning.Therefore,high school geography teachers are required to develop the hot spots of current events and integrate them with the content of textbooks,flexibly apply them to the geography classes,and give full play to the role of hot spots of current events in promoting the realization of teaching objectives.This paper uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and case analysis to carry out the research.The main purpose of the research is to follow the process of the new curriculum reform,enrich the development and application of high school geography curriculum resources,put the new curriculum concept into practice,and make the geography subject show the characteristics of The Times.Based on the relevant theories of pedagogy and psychology,by setting the student questionnaire and teachers in the form of questionnaire,and combined with the author's teaching practice,found that the current event hot spot in the application of the high school geography teaching process still has concern consciousness,development and application of restrictive conditions,and many other problems,but at the same time proved that the current event hot spot in the cultivation of the students' comprehensive quality and learning effect of ascension have indispensable role,the application of the current event hot spot in the high school geography teaching advantage is is recognized by the high school geography teachers and thus has been clear about the current event hot spot in the teaching effect and the positive significance of the curriculum reform,It has proved its effectiveness and feasibility in high school geography teaching.In this paper,on the basis of the current event hot spot application principle,in view of the current event hot spot is applied to the complete teaching of high school geography teaching design,for each link of teaching implementation plan,and through the case to the current event hot spot,in the form of teaching optimization design,finally,this paper respectively from the perspective of students and high school geography teachers put forward improvecurrent event hot spot and the high school geography case teaching adaptability.The purpose of this study is to enable students to master the knowledge of geography,stimulate students' independent exploration ability,learn to understand and explain current events and hot topics from the perspective of geography,cultivate students' geographical literacy,and then strengthen the connection with social life.At the same time,it can also enrich the curriculum resources of geography,promote the development of high school geography teachers' professional ability,and make efforts to achieve better results in geography teaching.This paper tries to provide geography teachers with the ideas of current events in high school geography case teaching.
