Research On The Influencing Factors Of Marital Willingness Of Postgraduates

Marriage is the perpetual theme of human activities.With the continuous transition of the generation and development of the society,people's willingness to marry and marital behavior are also changing and developing.Based on low fertility rate,critical aging of the population and continuous decline of demographic dividend,it is necessary to pay attention to the marital will and behavior of postgraduates.Currently,the popular trend is late marriage and childbearing,also the number of people living single life without marriage and children is increasing.As youths living in the new era,postgraduates' high knowledge integrates with their nature old age,they tend to be mature both psychologically and physiologically.This should be the right age of being in a relationship and making up a family,but due to a series pf reasons such as "I can't marry,I can't get married",the marriage rate of postgraduate students still schooling is very low.Moreover,the marriage rate of postgraduates who have already graduated is lower than that of peers with other degree levels.In the view of this phenomenon,this paper hopes that on the basis of previous studies,we can have a holistic understanding and grasp of the marital status,dilemma and factors affecting the marital will of postgraduates.First,by summarizing and sorting out the literature of marriage of postgraduates still schooling,this paper ponders and explores the marital status and willingness of postgraduates in Chongqing universities.According to the questionnaire survey data and the comprehensive social survey data of China,this paper describes and compares the marital status of postgraduates still schooling and those who have already graduated.The results shows that the rate of marriage of postgraduates still schooling is very low,while the rate of unmarried of those who have already graduated is higher than that of peers with other degree levels.Secondly,from the social,family,school and individual levels,this paper carries out frequency statistics and descriptive analysis on the related factors affecting the marital status and the marital will of postgraduates,and explores how the factors affect their marital will.Finally,aiming at the marital status,marital dilemma and factors affecting the marital will of postgraduates,the counter measures to guide and standardize their marital will and marital behavior are put forward;first is to improve the social service and guarantee,second is to play the basic role of the original family,third is to optimize the marriage service environment in colleges and universities and fourth is to strengthen the rational initiative consciousness of individuals.
