Research On Postgraduates' Physical Exercise Delay And Its Influencing Factors

By analyzing the characteristics and manifestations of postgraduates' physical exercise procrastination,this study systematically explores the influencing factors of postgraduates' physical exercise procrastination,and on this basis,puts forward some strategies and suggestions to prevent and improve postgraduates' physical exercise procrastination behavior.The questionnaire method was used to investigate and analyze the postgraduates of different majors in 4 universities in Nanjing,issued 620 questionnaires,and recovered 600 valid questionnaires(346 males and 254 females).The reliability and validity of the two parts of the physical exercise procrastination questionnaire were 0.89,0.80 and 0.70,0.76 respectively.The results show that:1)97%of the postgraduates in the survey have the problem of physical training delay in different degrees.The average value of the total score of the procrastination scale was 60.57 and the standard deviation was 11.02,which indicated that there was a great difference between the delay score and the average value of most postgraduates.There were significant differences in the procrastination degree of postgraduates of different sexes.The average score of boys was 58.97 and that of girls was 62.75.There are significant differences in the degree of procrastination in physical exercise among graduate students in different grades.The average values of grade 1,study 2 and study 3 are 60.64,61.38,57.67,respectively.There are significant differences in the degree of procrastination in physical exercise among graduate students in different majors.The average values of postgraduates in liberal arts,engineering and arts are 63,61.15,56.91.2 respectively),gender,major,grade,subjective factors(planning regulation,control,etc.,P>0.05,P<0.01,P<0.01).Emotion,motivation,personality and self-efficacy,as well as objective factors(external environment,task nature and family),have significant predictive effects on the degree of physical exercise procrastination.It can explain 67.4%variance variation of postgraduates' physical exercise delay.The standardized regression coefficients of external environment,task nature and family influencing factors were-0.061,0.357 and 0.141,respectively.The standardized regression coefficients of emotion,personality,motivation,self-efficacy and planning regulation were-0.092,0.257,0.032,0.082,0.387,respectively.Conclusions:1)Postgraduate students with different gender,grade and specialty showed different degrees of physical exercise procrastination,while girls showed more outstanding physical exercise procrastination,and the degree of procrastination in physical exercise of the third grade students was lower than that of the students of Grade one and two.The level of procrastination in physical exercise of postgraduates of partial liberal arts is higher than that of postgraduates of partial science,while the degree of procrastination of sports of postgraduates of arts and sports is the lowest.2)Planning and regulation,the nature of tasks has the highest influence on the procrastination of physical training.The stronger the master's planning ability is,the stronger the self-regulation ability is,the weaker the procrastination degree of physical exercise will be,the bigger the procrastination is because the student can't control his behavior very self-discipline;Students who pay more attention to exercise tasks will have a more positive attitude towards completing physical exercises,and will make reasonable arrangements for their own sports projects in the course of exercise.And will constantly adjust the intensity and ease of the task according to their own situation,normative and so on,and increase its interest,making it easier and more confident to complete a good exercise task.
