| Nel Noddings is a famous contemporary American educational philosopher,the emeritus professor of Stanford University,and the past president of the Philosophy of Education Society and the John Dewey Society.She plays a very important role in contemporary American education reform and is one of the most influential educators in the United States.On the basis of Nel Noddings’s masterpieces and the previous research on her education,it is concluded that most of the research have been made on the practice and influence of the Ethics of Care and Moral Education,as well as some other aspects;while little attention paid to her thoughts about teacher education.The reform and development of teacher education has become an important part of education in all countries of the world,since China is currently in the process of reforming the teacher education system,Noddings’s teacher education thoughts have important reference significance for further promoting the reform of our country’s teacher education system.This thesis focuses on the content of Noddings’s teacher education thoughts,and systematically analyses the origin,the main content of the formation of Noddings’s teacher education thoughts,as well as its influence on western countries and on China.In the origin of thoughts,this paper expounds the social background and theoretical basis of Noddings’s teacher education thoughts.Then,it comprehensively analyzes five aspects of Noddings’s teacher education thoughts:the teachers’status and responsibilities,teacher-student relationship,teacher’s professional quality,teacher’s moral education ability and teacher training.After that,this paper analyses the impact of Noddings’s teacher education thoughts on the American local education and its influence on other western countries.Finally,by sorting out the spread and influence of her thoughts in our country,combined with the present situation of the development of teacher education in China,several proposals are proposed for the reform of China’s teacher education. |
