The Enlightenment Of Noddings' Care Theory To Our College Moral Education

Nel Noddings is the founder of the caring theory. She stressed thesignificance of moral education, the purpose of education should encouraged thehealthy development of people who care for others,who know how to love andwho deserve other's love.Noddings against traditional humanities educationsystem, but she was not opposed to studying literature, history, physics,mathematics and any other subjects. She opposed a thought control, the idea offorcing all students to learn a narrow and special course. The course may lack thethings that students genuine concern of. She advocates for the respect of humanquality and capacity, which in today's schools is seriously neglected. She opposedany attempt to belittle the human qualities associated with women's thoughts andbehavior. Noddings' educational model is on the premise of such understanding: Itis not just one factor in the management of students whose personalcircumstances are different. Each child's unique talents, abilities and interestsrequire teachers to give full attention.Schools should provide the opportunity todevelop it..Her theory has been accepted by cross-border and cross-cultural. Thisshows that the world today has become a common theme of caring concern for thehuman spirit to the field on the basis of a topic. Based on the reality of ourcountry,the study of the theory has a major and far-reaching significance. Thispaper mainly through the understanding of the care theory, in view of the issue ofmoral education at this stage,study the theory's enlightment to our college moraleducation.The paper consists of 2 chapters. Chaper one is the introduction of Noddings'Caring theory, which mainly includes : (a) the connotation of the caring theory(2) main content of the caring theory.Chapter 2 is the enlightment ofNoddings'Caring Theory of moral education of college students in China, this partalso includes three small parts : (1) the problems that Chinese moral educationfacing(2) the theory enlightenment of the caring theory for Chinese college(3) thepractice enlightenment of the caring theory for Chinese college.
