Maria Montessori is a world-famous early childhood educator who was dedicated to studying the physical and mental characteristics of children and constantly paying attention to their inner needs.With the help of long-term,scientific educational experiments and practices,she discovered the secrets hidden in the children's heart and interpreted the unique charm of the children's world.What's more,she led the future generations to strive constantly along her footsteps consequently to find a more beautiful landscape of the children's world! Her educational thought has a profound personal brand,full of uniqueness and creativity,which is widely spread all around the world,highly respected by scholars and loved by parents.Montessori's educational thought has been existed in China for one hundred years,but its practice in China is short and tortuous,among which the most worthy of attention and the most urgent need to solve is its Sinicization.In this paper,Montessori is introduced briefly,and then the formation process,theoretical source and core viewpoints of Montessori's educational thought are summarized roundly.On the foundation of the historical data,this paper expounds in detail the four stages of the Sinicization of Montessori's educational thought:early exploration-stagnation-deepening and expanding-the new period.In the end,it analyzes the problems in the practical process of the Sinicization of Montessori's educational thought,thinks over its future and then puts forward some suggestions and practical strategies to realize the Sinicization of Montessori's educational thought.I hope to enrich the relevant research,provide reference for the first-tier educational practitioners.
