3-6-year-old children are experiencing emotional competence development.In order to promote better emotional competence development,researches on influence factors of children's emotional competence development become very important.Obviously,the home and kindergarten are two most important environments to affect their development.However,it can be learned from first-tier kindergartens that children's emotional expressions are different at home and kindergarten.This research conducted preliminary discussion based on above mentioned situation.This research investigated difference in emotional competence of children in the home and kindergarten environments,including their emotional awareness and recognition ability,emotional understanding,emotional expression ability and emotional regulation ability via questionnaire and interview,and then conducted comparative study on their ages,genders and dimensions.Further,this research analyzed the possible reasons and put forward feasible solutions.The research results can be summarized as follows:(1)The overall level of emotional competence of 3-6-year-old children has significant difference at home and kindergarten.Children have higher emotional competence at home than kindergartens.(2)Four dimensions of emotional competence of 3-6-year-old children(emotional awareness and recognition ability,emotional understanding,emotional expression ability and emotional regulation ability)have significant difference in the home and kindergarten environments,of which emotional awareness and recognition ability>emotional expression ability>emotional understanding>emotional regulation ability.(3)Generally speaking,there is no significant gender difference in emotional competence of 3-6-year-old children in the home and kindergarten environment.(4)The emotional competence of 3-6-year-old children will be increased with ages in the home and kindergarten environments with great difference.(5)The reasons for difference in emotional competence of 3-6-year-old children in the home environment can be concluded as follows: the absence of family education(family environment,parenting pattern),implementation of kindergarten education(education activity,peer relation),lack of community education(parents and teachers' emotional competence,attention to children's emotional change as well as contact between home and kindergarten).Finally,the corresponding countermeasures are proposed from the perspective of children themselves,home,kindergarten as well as cooperation between home and kindergarten by combing main reasons for difference in emotional competence of 3-6-year-old children in the home and kindergarten environments.
